Dr. Melissa Mendez, PT, DPT
Dr. Melissa Mendez, PT, DPT is a residency-trained pelvic floor physical therapist who is passionate about providing patient-centered, detail-oriented care in both English and Spanish. She believes that understanding your own body is the first step toward healing — and she’s dedicated to making sure every patient leaves feeling informed, heard, and empowered.
Dr. Melissa has experience treating a wide range of pelvic health concerns, including bladder and bowel dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, pregnancy, birth prep, and postpartum recovery, menopause, and pelvic pain conditions such as endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, and tailbone pain. As someone with hypermobility she also understands how to treat and provide support for patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. She takes a truly individualized approach, building personalized treatment plans around each patient’s goals, lifestyle, and pace — never a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Her care is rooted in collaboration: she walks alongside her patients through every stage of their healing journey, helping them rebuild confidence, restore function, and return to the lives they love.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Melissa enjoys a good Scrabble match, sci-fi novels, and making art through painting and photography — and she’s always on the hunt for hidden gems at the thrift store!

Dr. Sujata Nāir-Martin, OTD/L
As a Pelvic Health Occupational Therapist, Dr. Sujata blends the mind-body-soul approach of Ayurveda and Yoga with Western Medicine techniques like Osteopathic Manipulation and Occupational Therapy to treat pelvic floor dysfunction.
Dr. Sujata’s journey into pelvic floor therapy began in 2017, during her first pregnancy, when she struggled to find guidance on preparing her core and pelvic floor for delivery and postpartum recovery. Through her own research and preparation, she experienced a smooth delivery and recovery, a stark contrast to the many difficult experiences she had heard from others. This realization fueled her passion for helping others navigate pelvic health with greater ease, knowledge, and confidence.
She is especially dedicated to working with chronic pelvic pain and trauma-informed pelvic care, helping patients rediscover safety and confidence in their pelvis. Her goal is to create a space where individuals can heal, regain control over their bodies, and feel truly healthy in their pelvic floor again.
Dr. Sujata is a published researcher and an award-winning educator, who furthers scholarship in pelvic floor therapy through The Integrative Somatic Healing Institute. She has provided pelvic health and yoga-based education to universities, non-profits, physician groups, national professional conferences, and the general community, aiming to expand knowledge on the benefits of integrative pelvic health care.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Sujata loves Argentine Tango & Bollywood dancing, binge-watching Netflix, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and sons. She is a clinical researcher, and also the author of “Not Just Kegels – The Exhausted Mama’s Guide to Pregnancy & Postnatal Wellness,” which ranked #1 on Amazon’s Pregnancy & Childbirth list.
