Embracing Motherhood: Finding Your Village
Life prepares women for many things — but one area that often receives little attention is the emotional transition from one’s previous self to that of a Mother. While stepping into motherhood, many women experience an identity shift, moving from focusing on their own needs to caring for a beautiful, delicate baby who depends entirely on them for sustenance.
This emotional evolution, combined with the physical changes in the postpartum body and the demands of infant care, can leave a mother feeling lost at sea.
Building Your Village
We’ve all heard the saying: “It takes a village.” Yet, in modern society, many mothers are left to build that support network on their own.
For some, self-care might simply mean carving out one hour a month to connect with other women — sharing experiences, struggles, and triumphs related to pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.
